Meet Nicky Moffat: Protected Areas Campaigner
Nicky is on a mission to at least double Queensland's protected area system by 2030. Her collaborative approach involves working with Queenslanders from all walks of life, united by the shared goal of creating a positive legacy for future generations.
Nicky's journey is as diverse as the ecosystems she strives to protect. A former journalist on the Sunshine Coast, she brings a unique perspective shaped by her experiences in private forestry and agroforestry. Nicky's contributions also extend to tertiary teaching in sustainability and natural resource management, along with her active involvement in forest conservation campaigning.
